Social Media Creator (Freelance)
WeRoad Ltd, Austin, TX, United States
JOB TITLE
English‑Speaking Social Media Creator (Freelance)
LOCATION Texas, U.S. (Remote)
TYPE OF CONTRACT Freelance, 3‑6 month contract length
STARTING DATE May 2026 (sooner welcome)
ROLE DESCRIPTION We’re building something new. We need someone to build it with us.
WeRoad is launching in the U.S., new channels, new audience, new energy. We’re launching on TikTok from scratch and we want to give a new American energy to our English channel, and we’re looking for the person who will own that from day one.
Not managing. Not execute briefs. Own. That means you decide what goes up, when, and why. No approval chains, no sign‑off culture. If you have a vision and the skills to back it up, we get out of your way and let you run.
Your day‑to‑day activities will include creating and planning content formats, visuals for WeRoad’s social media assets and new projects, taking ownership of WeRoad’s channels and market.
WHAT THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE You’ll build and run WeRoad U.S. Instagram and TikTok presence, in English, with full creative control. You’ll be the face, the voice, the editor, and the strategist, all at once.
You’ll ideate, shoot, edit, caption, and publish. You’ll ride trends before they peak, experiment with formats, and develop a distinct point of view for the brand. You’ll report on what’s working and iterate fast.
Starting from zero is a feature, not a bug. You get to define the aesthetic, the tone, the content pillars, everything.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
English is your mother tongue. You think in it, you meme in it, you create in it.
You’ve made content before. Maybe for your own channels, maybe for others. We don’t care about your CV as much as we care about your feed. Show us what you’ve made.
You’re comfortable being autonomous. You don’t need someone to tell you what’s trending or what format to try next; you already know. You’re hungry to prove yourself in a real company environment, and you understand this is a chance to do that without gatekeeping.
You’re comfortable on camera and behind it. You know Canva, you’ve played with AI tools, you’re fast.
You are based in the USA.
You are allowed to work in the US.
NICE TO HAVE
Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, whatever you use)
Experience with analytics and using data to adjust strategy
Familiarity with TikTok’s ad ecosystem or organic growth tactics
WHY THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY You will join a startup team at the ground floor, you’ll work directly with WeRoad’s Content global team and the U.S. launch squad.
You also will have access to the broader WeRoad/WeMeet ecosystem: people, insights, and resources, without the corporate overhead.
If you’ve been building your skills independently and want to bring them somewhere that will actually use them, this is that place.
YOU WILL LOVE WORKING AT WEROAD IF
You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn’t think possible. Challenges excite you, and you’re hungry for the next win.
You want to be part of a young, smart, and fun team that shares your passion for travel. You thrive in a community of bold thinkers and doers who challenge and inspire each other.
You’re an entrepreneur at heart, take responsibility from day one, and move fast to make things happen.
You prefer adventure over routine and embrace the fast‑paced, ever‑changing ride of a scaleup. You make decisions quickly, test, learn, and adapt—because growth comes from action.
You believe in the power of people. Our WeRoaders and Travel Coordinators are at the core of everything we do, and you’re eager to be part of something bigger.
