The Marketing Operations Specialist supports the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives across digital, social, and event channels. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and ensure consistent, high‑quality communication across all platforms. Develop, schedule, and publish content across BTA’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Create and coordinate email newsletters and communications. Update and maintain website content. Maintain a content calendar that aligns with marketing goals, campaigns, and special events. Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and track performance metrics to inform future content. Create written content that accompanies the visual content created by the marketing team. Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to create content in the digital realm to increase brand awareness and digital engagement. Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for use on social media, email campaigns, promotional materials, and the website. Actively participate as an on‑camera and in‑content contributor for social media and digital marketing initiatives, including appearing in videos, photos, livestreams, and other branded content to support campaign goals and audience engagement. Manage internal requests and workflow coordination. Ensure consistency and accuracy across all published materials. Assist with the planning, coordinating, and executing of special events for BTA. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or significant work experience in related fields. 1+ years of experience in marketing and social media engagement is preferred. Must have a valid AZ Driver’s License or ability to obtain one. Clean driving record required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills. High level of organization and attention to detail. Comfort with multitasking in a deadline‑driven environment. Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts. Excellent time management skills. Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical thinking skills. Strong writing and editing abilities. Self‑starter, goal‑oriented, and enthusiastic about planning events. Proficiency with computers and software programs, including MS Office suite and Google suite. Works well alone and as part of a team. Able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Physical Requirements
Ability to operate computers and phones. Ability to communicate with staff, visitors, and donors in English, both written and oral. Ability to work at a workstation for 8 hours a day. Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions; summer temperatures may exceed 110 degrees F. Must be able to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ability to lift 50 lbs and traverse uneven terrain and hiking conditions. Must be able to stand, walk on uneven terrain, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to handle tools and controls. Fully functional vision is required (prescription lenses are acceptable).
