Sandy's Pet Spa is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dog Groomer to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will provide top-quality grooming services to our canine clients, ensuring they look and feel their best. You will work with a variety of dog breeds, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Bathe, trim, and style dogs according to their breed standards and customer preferences
Handle dogs gently and safely during grooming sessions
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work areas
Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and health
Manage appointment schedules and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
Previous experience as a dog groomer or similar role preferred
Knowledge of breed‑specific grooming styles and techniques
Strong attention to detail and a love for animals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Certification in pet grooming is a plus

Lifting with help as needed anywhere from 10lbs - 160lbs on a daily bases.
Keeping a calm and positive attitude around the animals to insure they're comfortable in the salon.
Adhering to our company policy of performing as a team and supporting each other throughout the day.
Additional responsibilities include providing a safe and clean grooming environment, maintaining grooming supplies, and communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs.
