The
HVAC Designer
is responsible for leading HVAC design efforts on commercial projects. This role owns design work from start to finish, supports project coordination, and helps ensure projects are set up for success in the field.
What You’ll Do
Create and complete HVAC system designs for commercial projects
Lead HVAC design meetings and collaborate with internal teams
Review plans prior to submission and ensure code compliance
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to prevent jobsite issues
Attend project meetings and support field teams as needed
Assist with design submissions to municipalities
Work within BIM, Revit, and Navisworks for coordination and clash detection
Provide input on design improvements and efficiencies

5+ years of HVAC design experience preferred
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and code
Ability to lead conversations and collaborate across teams
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Associate degree in design or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Preferred (not required):
HVAC certifications or engineering background
