Position Summary The UNC School of Medicine IT Web Services team is seeking a Web Developer/Designer with WordPress experience. This role designs, builds, and maintains School of Medicine websites in a large WordPress multisite environment. The position combines front end development and visual design to ensure websites are modern, accessible, secure, and consistent with institutional branding. The Web Developer/Designer works closely with IT staff and departmental website administrators to deliver reliable, high quality web solutions that support the School of Medicine’s mission.
Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position’s role.
Computer coursework may be substituted year-for-year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Journey level requires an additional six months experience.
Advanced level requires an additional one year of experience.
Management Preferences
Experience using software-based phone systems.
Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills.
IT support experience in mixed environments, including Mac and Windows.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Not Applicable.
