Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Century Therapeutics (NASDAQ: IPSC) is a biotechnology company advancing a pipeline of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell therapies with the potential to meaningfully address autoimmune diseases, including type 1 diabetes, and cancer. The company's therapies are derived from its iPSC cell foundry and leverage its novel immune evasion engineering technology, Allo-Evasion. Century believes its approach to developing off-the-shelf cell therapies will expand patient access and provide advantages over existing cell therapies which will ultimately advance the course of care. The Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is a strategic and highly visible position, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Head of Finance & Principal Financial Officer. This individual must be able to partner with key leaders across all functions including Research, Development, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Development and Manufacturing, and G&A as well as across the broader Leadership Team. This role will provide support to our functional areas in planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. This individual will also be responsible to ensure a companywide consistent approach to strategic analysis and modeling to enable corporate decision support, optimize corporate development opportunities, and work closely with the Head of Business Development. The expected annual salary range for this role is approximately $185,000 - $195,000 depending on experience. Additional benefits offered include but are not limited to an annual performance-based bonus (prorated by start date), medical, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401K plan, and 20+ days per-year of PTO (prorated by start date). The position requires a financial professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, complex, and rapidly growing organization. Prior FP&A roles within Biotech is a must and Pharma experience is also highly valued. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; MBA or CPA is a plus. Excellent financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis. Experience with the creation and maintenance of forecasting and modeling tool and applications (e.g., Adaptive, etc.). Proficient in Excel (including programing "if/and" statements, financial formulas, pivot tables, etc.), and PowerPoint (able to draft logical, concise presentations with good formatting and storyboarding). Strong communication/presentation skills with track record of presenting complex financial analyses to executives/ senior management with precision and concision. Familiarity with GAAP and accounting principles and practices. Familiarity and comfort operating in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment, making the most of bandwidth and resources in a fast paced workplace.
