Assistant Director, Philanthropic Finance Division Intercollegiate Athletics The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) invites applications for Assistant Director, Philanthropic Finance to support Financial Operations. This position will play a critical role in supporting the broader strategic priorities of the DIA and help foster a life‑changing experience for student‑athletes.

Organizational Relationship This position will report to the Assistant Director of Athletics, Financial Operations.

Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Athletics, Financial Operations, the Assistant Director, Philanthropic Finance will provide a variety of services that are complex, highly diversified, and require independent judgment. The role supports the effective use of departmental financial resources related to the finance functions of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and State Farm Center, with the goal of efficient and value‑added business operations processes and effective interaction with all levels of DIA and the University of Illinois.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with coaches, support professionals, and physicians to better support the needs of softball student‑athletes.

Provide first‑in‑class medical support to softball student‑athletes to create optimal outcomes in athletic performance, academic success, and overall health and wellness.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a field related to the position. Two years of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an athletics‑related field. Five years of business work experience within intercollegiate athletics. Familiarity with Banner, Paciolan, and TED/Blackbaud software.

Flexible to various scheduling, including nights, weekend work, some holidays, and team travel.

Maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

Appointment Information This is a 100% full‑time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12‑month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/15/2026. Salary is $55,000–$70,000 and commensurate with experience. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
