
Apparel Product Manager

Job Overview
The Apparel Product Manager will be responsible for the management of an assigned product category, including hardgoods and apparel. The role involves driving product strategy, coordinating cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring timelines, and supporting vendors and internal stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Support and manage assigned category.
Oversee style, design, and system support.
Conduct category competitive analysis.
Work cross‑functionally to support category priorities.
Collaborate with vendors on category needs, product costing, programs, and development.
Analyze consumer insights and trends.
Communicate season assortment to the team.
Provide style and system setup information.
Provide category, style, and recommended pricing for all marketing materials.
Catalog and maintain samples.
Work with Demand Planning/Forecasting on product/market needs and trends.
Present product category at sales events.
Lead the E&O process and provide direction on E&O items.
Create and manage vendor rebate programs in partnership with finance.
Qualifications
Ability to manage sensitive matters with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
Attention to detail; ability to multitask, remain organized, and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
Self‑motivated team player able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment and pivot focus of responsibilities smoothly.
Commitment to customer‑centric values aligning with the company’s mission.
Excellent communication (listening, writing, and verbal) across all organizational levels.
Knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations.
Comfortable with conflict resolution.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; Associate (or Bachelor) degree preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proven success in communicating across all levels of an organization.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems/technology with some manual processes.
Physical Demands This role is a professional office position, primarily sedentary with occasional filing tasks. Employees may need to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend as necessary. Full office presence is expected.
