Product Designer Responsibilities:
Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion plus users
Design flows and experiences that simplify and distill complex actions into usable interfaces
Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems
Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Facebook products
Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve for quality
Drive a partnership with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
Represent work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and concepts
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
4+ years designing complex software products focused on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
Experience conducting advanced usability testing and gathering feedback from varied stakeholders to inform product strategy
Experience developing and implementing design strategies, leading design efforts, and presenting to executive‑level stakeholders
Proficiency in prototyping tools and building high‑fidelity prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience connecting your work with other related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
Examples of leadership in non‑product dimensions that have strengthened the team and positively impacted the work environment, such as mentorship opportunities
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Compensation: $139,000/year to $199,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
