Staff Visual Designer
Adobe, San Francisco, CA, United States
The Opportunity
The Firefly Content team is seeking a Staff Visual Designer to define visual systems across Firefly surfaces — one of Adobe's highest-priority product areas, where content plays a defining role in whether users feel confident, inspired, and empowered to create. Working closely with UX, product, marketing, and research, this role shapes the visual systems and standards that guide what gets built — producing work directly and creating the frameworks that enable scaled production downstream.
What you’ll do
Define the visual language and design standards for content across Firefly surfaces
Own art direction for in-product content, including onboarding flows, feature education, and contextual experiences for tools like Text to Image, Text to Video, and Firefly Boards.
Collaborate with UX, product, marketing, and research to shape new content experiences from concept through handoff.
Develop scalable content systems and guidelines that enable downstream contributors to produce on-brand content efficiently.
Use Firefly as a primary production instrument, writing and refining prompts to explore and validate visual directions.
Identify AI-powered tools and workflows that improve quality and velocity across the content pipeline.
Direct motion, video, and production partners to ensure outputs meet the creative standard.
What you’ll bring
8+ years of visual design experience with leadership on complex, cross‑functional projects and content systems
A portfolio demonstrating advanced craft, visual storytelling, and experience on digital product surfaces
Proven ability to define and scale design systems, visual frameworks, or content production workflows
Experience collaborating with UX, product, and research to shape content strategy and experience design
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools, including writing and refining prompts
Familiarity with prompt engineering practices and generative AI platforms beyond Adobe's ecosystem
Experience developing scalable production pipelines or templated content systems
