Senior Corporate Relations Officer, Principal Gifts

Responsibilities The Senior Corporate Relations Officer – Principal Gifts collaborates with the principal gifts development team to plan, implement, and coordinate multi‑year strategies that secure significant philanthropic gifts from corporations. The officer cultivates relationships with corporate executives, aligns corporate interests with the organization’s conservation goals, and manages a portfolio of qualified corporations capable of making gifts of $5,000,000 or more. Responsibilities include developing complex donor strategies, making direct asks for global and local priorities, providing recognition opportunities, engaging partners, presenting program information in detail, and collaborating across departments. The officer manages proposal budgets, builds a referral network, and may maintain formal or informal networks of trustees and corporate contacts using the donor database.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related experience.

Proven experience in building and maintaining long‑term relationships with corporations.

Track record securing at least $500,000 in corporate giving in a fiscal year.

Experience managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.

Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.

Training in current trends in charitable giving, particularly capital campaigns and corporate giving.

Salary Information The starting pay range for this position is $113,450 – $165,450 (USA only). Actual pay is based on location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
