Pharmacy Automation Specialist

About this Position
Coordinates the development, implementation, and ongoing management of automation and technology that impacts the Department of Pharmacy and the medication use process. Uses knowledge of pharmacy processes and automation/information system features to efficiently support pharmacy operations and enhance the delivery of pharmacy services to internal and external customers.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Diploma from pharmacy technician program required.
Experience
Minimum two years experience as a Pharmacy Technician utilizing pharmacy automation including Pyxis or equivalent system.
Significant understanding of pharmacy automation, including Pyxis or equivalent.
Background in pharmacy practice, word processing, and general office computer system applications.
Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Personal computer skills including ability to use document and spreadsheet applications.
