Real Estate Attorney (Property Management Experience)
Paragon Legal, San Francisco, CA, United States
The Position
A global alternative investment manager with a significant U.S. real estate portfolio is seeking a real estate attorney to support its asset management team. This is a hands‑on, high‑volume role focused on the day‑to‑day legal needs of managing a large portfolio, primarily industrial assets.
The attorney will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and managing a steady flow of vendor and property management agreements across a wide range of service providers, as well as advising internal stakeholders on operational issues and general risk. The role also includes supporting litigation prep and coordination with outside counsel.
The ideal candidate must be able to independently spot and negotiate key provisions, such as indemnification, limitation of liability, and damages. Candidates must have prior in‑house experience at a real‑estate management company. This role requires someone who is comfortable working on both company paper and third‑party paper, particularly in areas without established playbooks. Candidates must be collaborative, communicative, and able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders while clearly translating complex legal concepts for non‑legal teams.
The project starts ASAP, fully remote, for an ongoing duration, and requires 15–30 hours per week.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $103 and $117. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skill set, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
