Product Designer
Betr, Miami, FL, United States
THE ROLE
You’ll own the design across two distinct areas of the Betr app. The first is the customer experience — the end‑to‑end account layer that underpins everything: how users sign up, verify their identity, navigate their account, and manage their money. It’s the connective tissue that unifies our products into a single, cohesive experience. Getting it right isn’t a detail — it’s the foundation everything else is built on.
The second is our gaming products: Social Casino, a traditional casino‑like experience built around games such as table and slot games, and Arcade, a skill‑based platform where players wager an entry amount, compete head‑to‑head in casual arcade‑style games and win a fixed payout if they come out on top. Two distinct products, two distinct design challenges.
You’ll work directly with PMs, engineers, and researchers to shape what gets built and how it works, and contribute to the design system that ties it all together.
What You’ll Do:
Take ownership of features from discovery through launch — wireframes, flows, high‑fidelity mocks, prototypes, and redlines
Translate user research and data into design decisions you can clearly defend
Navigate the tension between tight, trust‑building CX flows and expressive, engaging gaming UI — often in the same sprint
Contribute to and help maintain our design system — components, patterns, documentation
Run and participate in design critiques; give and receive direct feedback well
Collaborate closely with engineers on implementation — close enough to notice when something’s off
Participate in usability testing and synthesize findings into actionable next steps
What You’ll Own: Customer Experience
Account creation & identity verification
Onboarding and first‑time user flows
Account management & settings
Deposits and withdrawals, purchase flows & more
Gaming Products
Social Casino — table games, slots, etc.
Arcade — skill‑based head‑to‑head games
Cross‑product consistency & more
What We’re Looking For:
3–5 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows strong craft and clear thinking
Proven ability to design complex multi‑step flows — onboarding, forms, transactional UI — with care for every state
Experience shipping on mobile (iOS or Android); this is primarily a mobile product
Solid Figma skills — components, variables, auto layout, prototyping
Strong communication: you can articulate why a design decision makes sense, not just what it looks like
Comfort working across product areas with different tones and user expectations
Deep understanding of user‑centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards
Experience in leading design projects from concept to completion, including user research, ideation, prototyping, and user testing
Knowledge of design systems, component‑based design, and front‑end development principles is a plus
Bonus Points For:
Experience with gaming, entertainment, or high‑engagement consumer apps
Background in fintech, payments, or KYC/identity flows
You follow sports closely and understand the fan experience from the inside
Exposure to front‑end code — you don’t need to ship it, but you understand how it works
A lifelong, passionate sports fan with a deep understanding of how to engage fans
