The Role The Creative Studio at SoFi is looking for a talented Senior Art Director to join our best‑in‑class in‑house agency. You will create and deliver a variety of exceptional marketing and advertising materials for our rapidly growing brand, focusing mainly on supporting our Borrow Pod: Personal Loans, Student Loan Refinancing, Private Student Loans, and Home Loans.

We’re looking for someone who is driven, forward‑thinking, and nimble enough to collaborate with creative partners on messaging and visual design. You should have a strong curiosity about AI and either have experience or a deep interest in applying AI within creative workflows.

What you’ll do

Own end‑to‑end concept and design for marketing projects across a variety of digital mediums.

Email Design

Social media posts

Branding campaign and assets

Lead generation campaigns and assets

Digital videos

Digital display banners

Create marketing materials for engaging, fast‑growing products.

Collaborate with copywriters on vision for briefs and larger campaign storytelling.

Produce work that is visually exciting, forward‑thinking, and emotionally engaging.

Test, iterate, and optimize designs to consistently improve business results.

Explore enterprise‑approved AI tools for day‑to‑day creative workflow efficiencies.

Work collaboratively with creative, web, development, product marketing, lifecycle marketing, and strategy teams.

Champion the SoFi brand and user experience, shaping the brand narrative.

Be part of our close‑knit Creative Studio that produces award‑winning advertising and marketing materials.

What you’ll need

A minimum of five years working as an art director

at an ad agency, in‑house creative department, or freelancing for major brands.

A strong, well‑rounded portfolio

of beautiful, effective work that shows advanced conceptual and craft skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and iterate on design options based on stakeholder and creative feedback.

Ability to balance multiple projects with tight timelines while solving complex creative problems with little guidance.

Data‑driven mindset: love testing design solutions and iterating based on results.

Comfortable collaborating with product marketers, product designers, brand strategists, and other cross‑functional partners.

Self‑motivated and able to work independently while supporting the larger team.

Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.

Experience in regulated industries such as FinTech or Insurance is a plus.

Software

Advanced understanding of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

Nice to have

Experience with Adobe After Effects for simple motion graphics.

Experience with Adobe Substance for 3D asset creation.

Experience with a variety of generative AI software.

Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is $60–$70 per hour.
