About Robert Craig Winery Robert Craig Winery is a Napa Valley producer focused on mountain‑grown Cabernet Sauvignon, with deep roots on Howell Mountain. Our Downtown Napa Tasting Salon offers a refined, unhurried space where guests connect with our wines and our team.
We are a small, collaborative, and performance‑driven team focused on delivering exceptional experiences and driving meaningful results.
Role Overview We are seeking a polished, sales‑driven Wine Ambassador to deliver an exceptional guest experience while driving direct‑to‑consumer revenue, wine club growth, and repeat visitation.
This is not a traditional hospitality role. Every tasting is an opportunity to build a collector, deepen loyalty, and generate sales.
Success in this role is measured by sales performance, wine club conversion, and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities Sales and Guest Experience
Drive wine sales and wine club conversions
Confidently guide purchasing decisions and close sales
Build long‑term customer relationships
Outreach and Brand Representation
Develop relationships with concierges, hotels, and local partners
Generate referrals and new visitation
Represent the winery at events as needed
Operations and CRM
Execute daily tasting room operations
Monitor inventory and maintain presentation standards
Capture guest data and execute follow‑up outreach
Events and Hospitality
Support winery events, private tastings, and club releases
Manage guest flow and deliver high‑level service
Resolve guest needs with professionalism
Qualifications
2+ years in sales, hospitality, or luxury retail
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Napa Valley wine knowledge preferred
CRM and POS experience a plus
WSET or sommelier certification is a plus
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 pounds.
