UX Writer (Remote)

Location & Work Requirements

Remote roles available in AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV.

Employees within a 90‑minute radius of Oak Brook, IL must attend in‑office 4 days per month (including one Monday or Friday), 10 am to 2 pm.

This requirement does not apply to support specialist positions.

Job Summary & Responsibilities
The UX Writer will own product language and support content for First Dollar, a subsidiary of Inspira Financial. They will report to the Product Content on Digital Experience and work closely with Design, Product, and Support. This role’s primary responsibility is the words we use in the product.

Champion the First Dollar voice across all product touchpoints, simplifying language for benefits.

Cut through industry jargon and acronyms to simplify benefits with language people understand.

Craft concise, purposeful copy that helps users navigate and achieve their goals within our product ecosystem.

Collaborate closely with Product and Design leads to create helpful support content for new features.

Create new help centers and manage our support content in Intercom to maintain one source of truth and ensure partner admins, employer admins, and employees access content in the appropriate branded experience.

Uphold our brand standards and keep language consistent across the entire Benefit Suite.

Build and evolve our content style guide, setting and maintaining the standards for ourselves and the industry.

Work directly in Figma to integrate copy into designs.

Write release communications to support product feature release for educating partners, admins, and members.

Proactively spot content opportunities and turn them into user experience improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
Years of Experience:

2-4 years of experience in UX writing and/or content design.

Demonstrate excellence in translating complex concepts into straightforward language that humans understand.

Navigated writing for different user types and scenarios within software applications.

Point to examples where you've developed and implemented content guidelines.

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or Design.

Certificate in Content Design or UX Writing.

Industry experience with FSAs, HRAs, HSAs, LSAs, and Commuter benefits.

Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to simplify the complex.

Pay Range
$58,000 - $75,000 per year

The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive and bonus opportunities.
