*MUST HAVE PRIOR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE TO QUALIFY* Journey is working with several clients seeking onsite daily, hybrid, and remote shipper‑facing sales reps who have experience as freight brokers and are comfortable hunting new business. About this role: DFW in office $65,000 - $100,000 base salary + commission (base salary varies based on experience) 3+ years of Customer Sales experience building a book of business at a 3pl logistics brokerage Proven ability in outside sales prospecting SMB, MM, and Enterprise level shippers, conducting 60+ cold calls and emails per day, conducting client meetings, closing business, providing pricing on RFPs/RFQs, retaining existing clients, and maintaining strong customer relationships (C2G experience is a plus) More Details: Seek, qualify, and close new business opportunities and maintain an active sales pipeline to ensure revenue growth YOY Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule Reach out to prospective customers through all available channels, including but not limited to cold calling, cold messaging, attending conferences, LinkedIn messaging, etc. Identify and monitor new sales prospects, market trends, and competitors Expand wallet share with current customers Identify services and pricing that meet customer’s needs Work with a team of on‑ and off‑site employees to service your accounts Prioritize client satisfaction, promote new services, set targets, and ensure healthy relationships between the company and customers Take a leading role in presentations and proposals for accounts Act as the senior liaison to the brokerage’s high‑profile customers Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services Additional Requirements 3+ years of experience in outside Customer Sales role 3+ years of experience working at a non-asset based 3pl brokerage company Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly changing priorities Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to negotiate freight rates and fees Strong familiarity with common industry technology including, but not limited to, rating tools and TMS systems Ability to productively work remotely.
