Care Initiatives is now hiring a Social Media & Content Manager to join our Communications Team!
Purpose of this position:
Supports the communications function in telling the Care Initiatives story by creating content that supports the mission, core values and culture. With a focus on social media, the Social Media & Content Manager will be a strong storyteller and strategic thinker who can craft engaging content for social platforms while writing in-depth, SEO- and GEO-driven blog posts and newsletters. This role involves taking ownership of our social calendar, fostering community engagement, and ensuring consistent content that aligns with our brand voice. This role will also research new platforms, tools, and social trends to keep strategies current.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a corporate social media strategy while expanding our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts.
Create, curate, and schedule engaging, brand-aligned content (text, images, short-form video) daily.
Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and community engagement, fostering conversations with our audience.
Analyze performance metrics (KPIs) to refine strategies and produce reports on social media ROI and engagement.
Act as the first line of defense in brand management, handling customer inquiries and social listening.
Play a critical role in supporting Sales, Marketing and Recruitment efforts through strategic brand promotion via digital and social media.
Research, write, and edit high-quality blog posts and articles for the company website to increase organic traffic.
Draft company website copy, and press releases as required.
Develop an editorial calendar for blog and social content, ensuring consistent publishing schedules.
Optimize content for SEO/GEO best practices.
Supports the communications function in telling the Care Initiatives story by creating content that supports the mission, core values and culture.
What it takes to become our Social Media & Content Manager:
Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in communications, marketing, journalism, or similar field required.
Minimum of 5 years of creative social media strategy, content design and development.
Proficiency with platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Experience with paid social media advertising (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads).
Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, and social media management tools such as HootSuite or Sprout Social, required.
General knowledge of marketing strategies to support sales goals, including social and digital media.
Knowledge of the corporate communications function, to include internal and external communications.
Knowledge of brand standards and AP Style, preferred.
