Title : Commercial Lines Account Manager Location : Red Bank, NJ (Hybrid) Job Type : Contract-to-Hire Compensation : $36.06 – 45.67/hr Industry : Insurance About The Role Our firm is partnering with a leading, nationally recognized insurance brokerage and risk management organization to identify an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager. This role is ideal for a client-focused insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a strong background in servicing and growing commercial insurance portfolios. The Account Manager will play a key role in supporting Producer-led relationships, managing renewals, marketing coverage, and delivering exceptional service to commercial clients across multiple industries. Job Description The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day service and management of assigned commercial clients and policies, as well as supporting new business and retention efforts. This role requires strong technical insurance knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with Producers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Support Producers in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects Initiate and manage the renewal process, including developing and executing renewal strategies Analyze current client exposures and develop renewal and/or new business marketing specifications Market accounts, negotiate rates, and review quotes and coverage terms for accuracy and competitiveness Summarize marketing results and prepare client proposals and presentations Bind insurance coverage and prepare binders and certificates, or delegate issuance as appropriate Review policies and contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare coverage summaries and schedules for clients Review client accounting history; respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies Assist with collections, reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing Participate in the claims process as directed, including claim submission, follow-up, and communication Provide technical guidance to support staff assisting with client service needs Communicate pertinent information to brokers related to client retention Attend client meetings as needed or directed by the Producer Maintain accurate and complete data within the agency management system, ensuring data integrity Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Six (6) or more years of related commercial insurance experience Active P & C insurance license Ability to meet continuing education requirements for license renewal Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service, organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Experience within a large brokerage or multi-carrier agency environment Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience Familiarity with agency management systems and carrier platforms Experience servicing complex or mid‑to‑large commercial accounts Benefits Dahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
