Position Summary
The Marketing & Business Development Manager supports Denark’s business development, proposal, marketing, and client engagement efforts. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing proposals, maintaining CRM integrity, supporting pursuit strategy, managing marketing content and brand standards, and assisting in client-facing initiatives. This position plays a critical role in ensuring consistency, organization, and quality across all business development and marketing efforts, while supporting internal teams and leadership in pursuing new work and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, business development, or proposal coordination; five (5) years preferred without formal degree

Experience in the construction, engineering, or A/E/C industry strongly preferred

Experience with CRM platforms (Cosential/Unanet or similar) preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, or similar graphic software preferred

Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Physical requirements are light-to-moderate. Work is accomplished through normal sitting with some standing and walking. Works in office environment, which requires normal sensory levels. Limited visitation of job sites, which could include movement within an active construction environment.

Essential Duties

Proposal management & Business Development Support

Review RFPs/RFQs and assist in development of proposal strategies, outlines, and deliverables

Coordinate and assemble proposal documents for submission, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Maintain proposal schedules and deadlines across multiple pursuits

Identify and coordinate required inputs from internal and external stakeholders

Maintain and update resume sheets, project sheets, and proposal content library

Assist in development of presentations and interview materials

Support research of prospective projects and clients

CRM & Pipeline Management

Maintain and update CRM system (Cosential/Unanet), ensuring data accuracy and completeness

Track opportunities, contacts, and business development activities

Generate and distribute reports related to pipeline, pursuits, and BD activitySupport tracking of prospective projects and client relationships

Marketing & Content Development

Maintain and update company website (projects, personnel, news, and media releases)

Develop and update marketing materials, including project portfolios and “Points of Pride”

Manage social media platforms and coordinate content updates

Assist in preparation and distribution of newsletters, email campaigns, and announcements

Coordinate photography and visual content for projects and marketing use

Events & Client Engagement

Coordinate company participation in industry events, sponsorships, and community engagements

Assist in planning and execution of client-facing and internal events

Support logistics, communication, and follow-up for events

Track attendance and engagement in CRM

Branding & Communications

Ensure consistency with company brand standards across all materials and platforms

Assist with preparation of press releases, announcements, and marketing communications

Coordinate jobsite signage, banners, and branded materials

Data Management & Reporting

Maintain project and marketing data, including major project tracking in the Cosential/Unanet CRM

Assist in gathering client feedback and supporting continuous improvement efforts

Conduct basic market and competitor research

Awards & Recognition

Assist in identifying and pursuing project award opportunities

Support preparation and submission of award applications for projects and staff
