Job Description
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our Project Freedom team. Project Freedom includes Blackhawk, Eagle, Stone Glacier, and CamelBak brands, delivering innovative gear designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and effectiveness for military, law enforcement, and first responders worldwide. In this role, you will play a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies tailored to the markets across the Project Freedom brands. You will work closely with the global marketing team and sales organization, you will execute plans to drive brand awareness & affinity, engage target consumer & customer audiences, and contribute to the overall success of company.
This position reports to the Project Freedom General Manager and is based at our Chesapeake headquarters.
As the Marketing Specialist, you will have an opportunity to:
Conduct thorough market research and wholesale insights to identify trends, opportunities and consumer behaviors in the global market
Analyze competitor behaviors to gain insight and recommend strategies to maintain brand leadership position in the market
Develop & execute marketing strategies aligned with the global marketing OGSM & business objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional marketing, content, and sales teams to ensure region executes cohesive and integrated campaigns in the region
Create thorough creative briefs and workorders to meet the needs of wholesale channel executions in the region in relation to GTM campaigns, promotional campaigns, & wholesale co-op initiatives
Develop in-market campaigns partnered with the selling organization to reinforce the brand’s value proposition on a seasonal and instance basis
Lead communication and coordination of US media needs including seasonal media product orders and product distribution
Manage distribution of GTM Toolkits & strategies to internal and external sales organization
Assist in management of annual and quarterly regional marketing budgets
Manage SAP ordering for marketing needs in relation to Project Freedom
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including wholesale buyers & marketing teams, regional marketing partnerships, event partners, and ambassadors
Partner with digital key accounts to ensure all assets are represented the correct way on brand pages and promotional execution is being managed effectively
Assist with seasonal sales meeting preparation and execution
Publish and communicate bi-weekly reports to the sales team & wholesale partners, displaying execution results and learnings
Present monthly regional marketing recaps & upcoming initiatives to executive team during Monthly Business Reviews
You have:
2–4 years of experience in marketing, product coordination, public/athlete relations, or agency work
Strong writer with excellent grammar, composition, creative & business writing
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point-Publishing/design software
A strong understanding of the consumer/retail environment and competitive marketplace
Strong strategist and pro-active leader with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strategic, proactive, and highly organized leader
Skilled in communication, presentations, and project management
Able to manage budgets and build strong cross‑functional relationships
Self‑starter who can prioritize, multitask, and deliver results
Strong analytical, decision‑making, and creative problem‑solving abilities
Excellent communications, presentation and project management skills
Proven ability to establish and maintain honest and effective working relationships with individuals from all backgrounds
Pay Range
Annual Salary: $83,000.00 - $95,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
