Job Summary: The Executive Director of Credit and Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of a portfolio of complex debt and equity investments in transitional / value-add operating properties spanning a variety of U.S. markets and a variety of property types including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, student-housing and hospitality. Responsibilities: Support effective delivery of constructive counseling, consulting, advisory and asset management services to a dedicated client across a portfolio of commercial real estate credit and equity positions Manage an assigned portfolio to mitigate risk and drive portfolio performance & liquidity while ensuring compliance with governing capital structures, loan documents, and servicing agreements Support resolution strategies with preparation of scenario analysis evaluating optimal business plans for highest recovery Identify and monitor changes in the portfolio over time, assessing impacts from macroeconomic risks and rating agency evaluations Maintain broad overview knowledge of major markets (trends, drivers, rents, values, etc.) to support sound assessment of property operations and financial modeling Interact with third party consultants including attorneys, title agents, brokers and property managers Coordinate communications between borrowers, partners, syndicate/participant lenders and property managers Perform regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for portfolio adjustments to mitigate potential risks Review and evaluate monthly / quarterly operating performance (Rent Rolls, Operating Statements, Collections) Perform regular testing for loan covenant compliance (Debt-Yield, Loan-to-Value, Debt Service Coverage Ratio, Guarantor Liquidity and Net Worth) Review debt / equity funding request submissions from borrowers / equity partners / property managers Review and analyze annual operating budgets, proposed tenant leases, maturity extensions, loan modification requests, forbearances, etc. Coordinate asset servicing and reporting responsibilities with internal departments to ensure accurate tracking/reporting Mentor financial analysts to encourage professional growth Perform occasional site visits as required Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate or a related field with a minimum of 10+ years of underwriting and/or asset management experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a dynamic setting. Organizational and administrative skills that reflect attention to detail and the ability to prioritize amidst competing demands. Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy. Handling workload and special projects efficiently. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
