About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of creating strong and healthy neighborhoods. The successful candidate will be a strategic and mission-driven leader with a passion for community development, particularly in the areas of housing and economic opportunity. This role is pivotal in overseeing the organization's programs, initiatives, and day-to-day operations, as well as in fostering partnerships with the Board of Directors, staff, and external stakeholders. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and effective operation of the organization, including fundraising, resource development, and serving as the primary spokesperson.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of leading teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving positive outcomes. They should be empowering and collaborative leaders, with a strategic and visionary mindset, capable of working with the Board to develop and execute a vision for the organization's future. A commitment to the principles of community-based development, a master's degree in a related field, and at least 5 years' of management experience in a community development or nonprofit setting are required. The role demands a leader who can represent the organization externally, engage with a diverse range of partners, and is adept at creating and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
