Position OverviewThe Director of Enrollment Management is a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for driving enrollment outcomes through effective admissions strategy, family engagement, and conversion management. This role owns the full enrollment process from inquiry through enrollment, with a particular focus on converting accepted families and achieving enrollment targets by grade level.The Director leads a disciplined, data-informed admissions process and is accountable for meeting enrollment targets and maintaining a healthy enrollment pipeline throughout the admissions cycle. This includes maintaining clear visibility into the pipeline, identifying risks early, and implementing strategies to improve yield and address barriers to enrollment.The Director oversees marketing and communications in support of enrollment goals, ensuring that messaging is aligned, consistent, and effective in attracting and enrolling mission-aligned families. The Director manages the admissions and marketing team and ensures that every interaction with prospective families reflects the mission, values, and program of Episcopal School of Nashville.Success in this role is defined by meeting enrollment targets, improving conversion rates at key stages of the admissions funnel, and maintaining a strong, well-managed enrollment pipeline.QualificationsEducationBachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.ExperienceProven success leading admissions and enrollment efforts, preferably in an independent or mission-driven schoolDemonstrated ability to convert prospective and accepted families into enrolled students, with clear examples of improving yieldExperience owning and achieving enrollment targets, including managing grade-level enrollment goalsStrong experience using enrollment data and CRM systems to track pipeline, forecast outcomes, and drive decision-makingExperience working closely with financial aid processes and guiding families through enrollment decisionsExperience managing or collaborating with marketing and communications functions in support of enrollment goalsPersonal QualitiesHighly approach of Episcopal School of NashvilleEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdmissions Strategy and Enrollment ManagementOwn and achieve annual enrollment targets by grade level, with particular focus on Kindergarten enrollment, including inquiry-to-enrollment conversion and accepted-to-enrolled yield.Manage the full admissions funnel from inquiry through enrollment, with a strong emphasis on converting accepted families into enrolled students.Lead and manage the accepted student process, including follow-up, family engagement, and yield conversion strategies.Develop and execute strategies to improve yield at each stage of the admissions process, particularly post-acceptance.Maintain a weekly enrollment pipeline review, including forecasting, risk identification, and action planning.Proactively identify enrollment risks and implement corrective strategies in real time.Personally engage with families through tours, meetings, and follow-up to support enrollment decisions.Identify and address barriers to enrollment, including program perception, financial considerations, and family fit.Partner with the business office to guide families through financial aid decisions and support enrollment conversion.Deliver a clear and consistent admissions experience.Make final recommendations on admissions decisions in partnership with the Head of School.Provide regular enrollment updates to the Head of School, including progress toward targets, identified risks, and recommended strategic adjustments.Marketing Strategy and MessagingSet marketing priorities and messaging in service of enrollment targets, conversion data, and family feedback.Ensure consistency of admissions-facing messaging across all materials and communications.Oversee the development and execution of marketing content in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager.Partner with the Director of Development to align admissions and development messaging.Monitor market trends and parent decision drivers to inform enrollment strategy.Event and Community EngagementLead the strategy and execution of admissions events, including open houses and campus tours, with a focus on moving families toward enrollment decisions.Ensure all events provide a clear, compelling, and authentic experience of the ESN program and community.Partner with faculty, staff, and student ambassadors to deliver high-quality, mission-aligned event experiences.Evaluate the effectiveness of events based on conversion outcomes, including inquiry-to-application and application-to-enrollment rates.Represent the school at community events, feeder school visits, and outreach opportunities to generate qualified inquiries and strengthen the enrollment pipeline.Team Leadership and CollaborationLead, manage, and hold accountable the admissions and marketing team, setting clear goals aligned with enrollment outcomes.Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance management to ensure strong execution across all aspects of admissions and marketing.Assess and evolve team structure, roles, and responsibilities to ensure alignment with enrollment goals and organizational priorities.Foster a collaborative, responsive, and results-oriented team culture.Collaborate closely with academic, development, and operations leadership to ensure alignment of enrollment strategy with the broader school program and priorities.Stakeholder Relations and OutreachDevelop and leverage relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, and referral sources to generate qualified inquiries and strengthen the enrollment pipeline.Represent the school in a manner that clearly communicates its mission, program, and value to prospective families and community partners.Partner with school leadership to gather insights from current families to inform enrollment strategy, messaging, and retention trends.Engage current families and parent ambassadors to support enrollment efforts and enhance the prospective family experience.Reporting RelationshipsThe Director of Enrollment Management supervises the Assistant Director of Admissions and Family Engagement, as well as the Marketing and Communications Manager. The Director of Enrollment Management reports directly to the Head of School and collaborates with the senior leadership team and relevant committees.
