Description/Job Summary The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in facilitating the enrollment and on boarding process for students in Workforce Development programs at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). This involves processing applications, completing student scheduling, conducting quality checks, and entering relevant data.

Responsibilities/Duties

Process new student applications, registration forms, and determines eligibility and recommends/refers students to appropriate services or classes. Schedule placement tests/advises students of their scores and assigns them to suitable classes. Submit registration forms to the registrar, enters intake/enrollment, testing and other essential information into CRM system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Maintains updates and progress of intake/enrollment of prospects in CRM system. Interact daily with program coordinators, and other vendors such as the Department of Social Services, the Mayor's Office and like partners to support student needs and verify funding eligibility to complete enrollment/registration. Participates and collaborates with Admissions and Career Services to conduct both internal/ external outreach events. Perform quality checks Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Attention to detail and strong organizational ability. Experience working in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. Required Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma/GED Experience :

Have at least one (1) year of experience in the following:

Customer Service Student Services Case Management Administrative Support Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree Two (2) years of experience in the following:

Customer Service Student Services Case Management Administrative Support

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to follow data entry procedures and practices Ability to classify and code data according to agency operating procedures Ability to understand and follow instructions Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and stake holders Ability to maintain confidentiality of data
