Technical Writer/Editor Full Time Professional GA30SI, Robins Air Force Base, GA, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 2287 This position serves as a control point for acquisition/management/writing/editorial control of technical orders and other requested documentation. Write original technical manuals, revisions, changes, and supplements from source data provided by various sources in accordance with applicable, governing Air Force specifications. Validate all documents are grammatically correct, clear, and concise, and complete technical documentation. Other duties related to Technical Writer/Editor as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years’ work experience as an avionics technician, maintenance technician or technical writer. Experience Experience in Adobe Frame Maker, Arbor Text, Adobe Photoshop, and ABBY FineReader preferred. Experience desired in writing original Technical Manuals, revisions, changes, supplements, checklists, etc. from source data provided. License, Cert or Registration Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment. Must obtain a valid government driver’s license when required by job assignment. Must obtain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) to include hazardous material endorsement when required by job assignment. Must obtain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government. Special knowledge, skills, & abilities Must be physically able to perform duties and responsibilities of the classification. Must be able to work with required materials without debilitating irritation to skin, eyes or respiratory system while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
