What You Will Do

Provide tax advocacy services on civil controversy matters. Participating in IRS audits and administrative hearings Advocate on clients' behalf before the collection, examination, and Appeals divisions of the Internal Revenue Service, and all 50 state tax agencies Research and consult on various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service Develop in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses and industries by having direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagement. Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards Qualifications

Successful candidates will have: Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, with sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being considered JD or other applicable advanced degree a plus Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for this position The pay rate range for this job position is $88,000 to $130,710. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
