Business Unit Director – Warehouse Management Software

A global provider of Warehouse Automation Solutions is seeking an experienced Director to lead its software business unit in the United States.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, growth, and operational performance of the company’s warehouse management software (WMS) offering across the U.S. market. The position will oversee a multidisciplinary team of 25+ employees across sales, software development, and project delivery , while also playing a key role in client relationships, commercial negotiations, and business development.

The role combines commercial leadership, software strategy, and operational delivery , making it ideal for someone who understands both the enterprise WMS market and the broader warehouse automation ecosystem .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the U.S. software organization , including sales, development, and delivery teams
• Define and execute the software growth strategy aligned with wider automation and intralogistics solutions
• Manage relationships with strategic customers , including contracts, negotiations, and commercial discussions
• Oversee the full lifecycle of WMS implementations , ensuring quality delivery and customer success
• Drive performance through clear KPIs around revenue, delivery, and customer satisfaction
• Work closely with global teams to scale and standardize software solutions internationally

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years experience in warehouse management software or supply chain technology
• Proven experience leading teams of 10–50 people
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in contracts, negotiations, and business development
• Background in WMS platforms

Candidates should be comfortable operating at an executive level , balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on involvement in commercial growth and customer delivery.
