Director of Information Technology
The BayTech Group, Louisville, KY, United States
We’re seeking a hands‑on IT Infrastructure leader to drive the integration and standardization of multiple acquired environments into a unified, secure platform.
This is not a purely strategic role — we’re looking for someone who has personally led system integrations, worked within infrastructure environments, and enforced security/compliance standards.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Adhering to SOC 2 Type II compliance requirements
- Leading end‑to‑end IT integration of newly acquired entities (systems, networks, vendors)
- Consolidating and standardizing infrastructure across multiple environments
- Managing and holding multiple MSPs accountable for execution and delivery
- Driving cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy (AWS/Azure + on‑prem)
- Enforcing security, compliance, and documentation standards across all systems
Required Experience (Must‑Have):
- Direct experience leading IT integrations in acquisition‑driven or multi‑entity environments
- Strong, hands‑on background in infrastructure, networking, and systems integration
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple MSPs and external vendors
- Hands‑on experience with SOC 2 Type II compliance (required — not theoretical exposure)
- Experience aligning environments to NIST or similar security frameworks
- Ability to work both strategically and in the weeds — this role is not hands‑off
This Role is NOT a Fit If You:
- Have only worked in a single, stable IT environment
- Are primarily focused on helpdesk or end‑user support
- Have not been directly involved in system or infrastructure integrations
- Do not have hands‑on SOC 2 / security compliance experience
- Prefer purely strategic leadership roles without execution
Why This Role:
- Own IT integration across a rapidly growing organization
- High visibility and direct impact on business operations
- Opportunity to build and standardize infrastructure at scale
- Autonomy to drive decisions in a fast‑moving environment
