
Business Analytics Senior Manager-Vice President

The COO Business Analytics Lead (Vice President) will be a part of AIM, based out of Gurugram and reporting into the Analytics Head (Senior Vice President) leading the team. He / She will lead a team of business analysts, visualization and reporting experts that are responsible for Business Analytics, Insight Generation, Visualization / Dashboards, Automation and Reporting. He / She must drive quality, reliability, and usability of all work products; evaluate and refine methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy; ensure proper documentation and traceability of all project work and respond timely to internal and external reviews.
Responsibilities
- Support Business Execution activities for the Chief Operating Office, implementing analytical solutions to manage banking operations like spend and utilization insights with contextualized metrics.
- Oversee the Data Analytics, Insight Generation and Reporting activities using proven analytical techniques. Document data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, which may include Process Automation / Optimization and data visualization techniques.
- Interface between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection, including performance generation, validation rules for banking operations. Offer technical guidance and support in areas such as knowledge graph development, data extraction, and other technical aspects related to business execution and business analytics.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in analytics.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies.
- Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business-to-business outcomes.
- Develop and execute the analytics strategy – Data Ingestion, Reporting / Insights Centralization, expand analytic coverage, rationalize, consolidate & convert existing manual reports into dashboards to cover key KPI with actionable insights.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Lead a team of analytics professionals and work with them to deliver on organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in Business Analytics & Transformation roles with proficiency in data analytics tools/technologies like SQL, SAS, Python, PySpark, Tableau etc.
- Strong understanding of data & analytics ecosystem, and ability to establish a scalable analytics framework – data strategy, process optimization, actionable insights, visualization techniques using Tableau.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- People management experience.
- Experience interacting with senior stakeholders across the organization to manage end‑to‑end conceptualization and implementation of data strategies, standardizing data structures, identifying and removing redundancies to optimize data feeds.
- Analytics thought leadership skills and project planning effectiveness.
- In-depth understanding of the various financial service business models, advanced statistical techniques and their application to drive substantial business results.
- Creative problem‑solving skills.
- Consistently sets high performance standards with effective mentorship and coaching, ownership & accountability of career progression, performance management, IDP and conflict management, talent retention, and career mobility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with seamless communication across team members, stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong capability to influence business outcomes in collaboration with AIM leadership & business stakeholders, demonstrating thought leadership in partner meetings while leading from the front to drive innovative solutions and stakeholder management.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, Master’s degree preferred.
