The City Impact Youth Center Director plays a vital role in helping students unlock the life‑changing power of a relationship with God. This leader will guide the vision, implementation, and growth of a dynamic initiative designed to equip neighborhood children and youth with the ability to hear about God and pursue Him with their life.
In this role, the Director will lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of the weekly elementary outreach program as well as open youth center hours for teens in the neighborhood at least 3 days per week. They will mobilize volunteers and plan programming. Ensuring every aspect aligns with Youth for Christ's mission to transform lives and strengthen our community. Working closely with staff, engaging community partners, and leading dedicated volunteers, this leader will help create an environment where students are encouraged, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
Essential Functions
Ministry Development (90%)
- Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team
- Create a strong connection between local churches and the ministry site
- Provide training materials and ministry site standards for ministry leaders
- Establish necessary support and guidelines to ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
- Be an advocate in the community for young people
- Report progress and ministry updates to YFC
Relational Ministry Action Development (30%)
- Responsible for managing, facilitating and serving in the Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs) such as elementary club, open youth hours, contacting, and building times with youth.
- Establish and develop programming materials
- Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials
All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to—extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
Spiritual Responsibilities
Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate and encourage life‑long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel.
As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
- Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
- Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
- Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression. YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

Requirements
- (Preferred) Live in or willing to relocate to the Clinton‑Hartley Neighborhood
- Three years of ministry experience as a volunteer or staff
