| || --- || || **Position:** Supply Chain Director || | | | | --- | --- | | **Location:** | La Vergne, TN | || **Job Id:** 729 || **# of Openings:** 1 || --- || Supply Chain Director wanted by Sinomax USA, Inc. in La Vergne, TN to oversee and manage overall purchasing and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost; lead all sourcing activities and implement cost reduction initiatives and strategies; collaborate with other departments, such as product development, marketing, engineering, and quality assurance to identify and qualify new suppliers; negotiate prices and terms with contract suppliers, overseas vendors and freight forwarders; manage and meet suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, and to discuss production forecasts and changes; monitor forecasts to identify changes and to determine their effect on supply chain activities; implement new and improved supply chain processes and systems tools; analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns and optimize customer service; evaluate and select information on other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of raw materials or import products distribution, storage and inventory; develop strategic plans and processes to drive cost reduction, improve quality and assess risk. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience as supply chain engineer or related occupation. Work experience should include 1) chemical purchasing or supply chain; 2) ERP system and SAP; 3) demonstrated knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting process in sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance and supply chain issues.
