The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Director, Analytics & Impact who will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, leveraging data analytics, Salesforce, and a portfolio of system solutions to drive insight and impact. This role requires someone who can work independently, think critically, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality in all analytical outputs. The Director will develop a deep understanding of the organization’s operations and data architecture, transforming complex data into actionable information. Responsibilities include fostering the adoption of analytical rigor throughout the organization by designing and maintaining metrics, dashboards, and reports across multiple sources; producing clear documentation; and providing meaningful interpretations of trends and performance drivers to support the Y’s mission to empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community. This role is intended for someone with experience in non-profit programming, impact measurement, and evaluating complex questions through data. The Director, Analytics & Impact will oversee the Tableau and Snowflake ecosystem, lead the continual development, evolution, and implementation of the organization’s strategic reporting, monitor organizational KPIs to inform decision-making and strategic priorities, and lead other analyses and projects as needed to support the organization’s mission. By modeling analytical rigor and strategic thinking, the Director will champion innovation and elevate impact measurement across program and service areas. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong judgment, and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable, and actionable insights. **Key Responsibilities:** **Strategic leadership and insight generation*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree in data analytics, statistics, public policy, social sciences, information systems, or a related field preferred.* Three (3) or more years of experience in analytics, research, data strategy, or impact measurement, ideally within a nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven environment.* Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively within a team, provide leadership, manage complex projects, and deliver high-quality work.* Proven experience transforming complex data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations that inform strategy and decision-making.* Strong proficiency with Tableau (or other BI tool) and Excel, including experience managing or optimizing analytics ecosystems.* Snowflake and Salesforce experience is desirable.* Deep understanding of best practices for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks that support organizational learning and impact.* Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of rigorous quality control, documentation, and validation of analytical outputs.* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence decision‐makers.* Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams while modeling analytical rigor and a culture of data-driven learning.* Commitment to the mission and values of the Y, with an understanding of community-based programming and impact measurement.**Benefits:** The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including , medical benefits, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
