
Director of Pharmacy

The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President.
Pharmacy Location: Located within Meadowview Behavioral Hospital, 9014 North Wood Sage Road, Peoria, IL
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with periodic weekend coverage
Required Qualifications
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
- Active Illinois state Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain one
- Proven to provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goals
- Proven to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management
- Proven to lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams
- Proven to ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws
- Proven to oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives
- Proven to collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives
- Proven to drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
- 2+ years of pharmacy management experience working in a hospital setting
Pay and Benefits
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
