Location: Modesto, CA
Salary: $150,000.00 USD Annually - $170,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance in the Modesto, CA area. They will provide direction for all Quality programs and Food Safety Systems throughout the company. The qualified candidate will work with all departments in the company to provide leadership and guidance on Quality and Food Safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Quality policy for several facilities
- Create a product testing program for all facilities
- Oversee Master Schedules
- Supervise Verification programs
- Manage sanitation programs
- Provide technical guidance
- Manage internal audit programs
- Responsible for product recalls, perform mock recalls for all manufacturing locations
- Analyze customer complaint data and implement corrective action strategies
- Analyze laboratory results and implement corrective actions
- Develop metrics and benchmarking for company performance
- Network with other organizations in the industry
- Develop working relationships with regulatory agencies
- Develop quality and product safety reviews
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience at a management level in the food manufacturing industry
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Business experience excluding budget and cost management
- USDA/FDA knowledge
- Knowledge of sanitary facility and equipment design
- Knowledge of Third Party Audit Standards, specifically GFSI schemes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-directed
- Proficient in computer software
