We are supporting a venture-backed precision diagnostics company developing a novel, data-driven platform to unlock new biological insights for disease detection and patient stratification.

They are seeking a Director of Diagnostics Strategy & Commercialization to bridge R&D innovation with clinical and commercial execution. This individual will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of diagnostic products (LDTs)—from evidence generation through to reimbursement and market adoption.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys translating complex science into real-world clinical value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical validation and utility strategies to support adoption with providers and payers
  • Develop and execute reimbursement pathways, engaging with payer stakeholders
  • Design and deliver go-to-market strategies, including early commercial planning and physician engagement
  • Build strategic partnerships across labs, health systems, and industry partners
  • Partner closely with R&D to translate platform capabilities into commercial diagnostics
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product and portfolio strategy
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support pipeline prioritization and investment decisions

Operational Leadership

  • Define and track commercial KPIs, reporting into senior leadership
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across clinical, regulatory, and operational teams
  • Ensure commercialization activities are compliant, scalable, and execution-focused

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years’ experience in molecular diagnostics / precision medicine
  • Demonstrated success in LDT commercialization and market access
  • Strong understanding of CLIA/CAP and evolving FDA dynamics
  • Experience building commercial models and strategic plans
  • Ability to communicate complex science to both clinical and commercial stakeholders
  • Life sciences background required; advanced degree preferred
