Head of Alternative Sales NAM

This role reports to the Global Head of Alternative Sales and is responsible for the North America sales strategy for the Alternative Investments business, including private equity, real estate and hedge fund solutions. The current Alternative Investments business includes approximately $28B in AUM. The Head of Alternative Investments Sales NAM will manage a team of investment professionals responsible for distribution coordination with Bankers and Investment Counselors across Citi Wealth’s client segments (Private Bank, Wealth at Work, Citigold/Citigold Private Client and Retail Bank), product education and implementation ideas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands‑on contributor who also mentors and coaches team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and drive sales strategy for Alternative Investments across North America.
  • Prioritize key initiatives by region and segment to ensure appropriate solution focus.
  • Partner with 3rd‑party investment managers to deliver training and sales support with clients and advisors/bankers.
  • Work with Alternative Investments Research and Product teams to develop and enhance internal and external presentations and marketing materials for offerings; ensure regional needs are met with global consistency and sharing of best practices.
  • Educate and train – understand the current Alternative Investments offerings; partner with research and product teams to schedule and lead internal training sessions.
  • Roadshow management – work with bankers and investment counselors to schedule and conduct in‑person or digital meetings; ensure effective use of time, conveyance of messaging, and aggregation of feedback.

Qualifications

  • Location: New York.
  • BS/BA in finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude in a fast‑changing environment and priorities.
  • Demonstrable Alternative Investments sales experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills in both small and large settings.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel.
  • FINRA Licenses 7, 66, 9 & 10.

Location: New York, New York, United States. Full‑time position. Salary range $250,000–$500,000. In addition to salary, discretionary bonuses and retention awards may be available.
