Job Summary
CV Resources is partnering with an incredible, community-serving client in the nonprofit space on their search for a Program Director.
This role oversees the day-to-day operations of a residential treatment program serving adults with substance use disorders. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Program Director leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, high-quality services in a collaborative environment focused on recovery and overall wellness. This individual will also contribute to planning efforts for a transition to a family-focused treatment campus offering a full continuum of care. The position ensures that all program components meet rigorous standards for quality, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for a 24/7 residential treatment program, including operations, programming, and scheduling
- Supervise and support a diverse team, including leadership staff, clinicians, direct care staff, and support personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members
- Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage at all times
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours program needs
- Lead team meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary clinical staffing discussions
- Collaborate with internal departments such as billing, quality assurance, and administration
- Ensure completion of all required administrative duties and internal/external reporting
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for both clients and staff
- Promote consistency, accountability, and professionalism across the program
- Address challenges proactively, demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills and composure under pressure
- Foster clear, professional communication with staff, clients, families, and external partners
- Support client care through coordination and case management across the continuum of services
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, including justice and child welfare systems
- Uphold high standards of customer service for all stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Background in behavioral health with progressive levels of responsibility
- Prior experience in residential or inpatient care settings
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed approaches to care
Education & Credentials
- CADC II required; CADC III preferred
- QMHP preferred
- LPC (or ability to obtain within two years) preferred
- Must pass drug screening and background check, including exclusion list verification
