Summary
As Manager of Sales for ALTEN you will be responsible for sales and consulting services, recruitment, and management of engineering consultants in a professional and international environment. You will strive for happy Alten consultants and satisfied customers by coaching your consultants and creating continuous opportunities for them, building a dynamic and committed environment that stimulates business and supports our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate new leads by customer prospecting and sales activities.
- Coach and develop account managers and business development managers.
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Represent ALTEN at career fairs, job fairs and other relevant events.
- Work closely with customers in order to understand and define their needs in detail.
- Continuously interview and match candidates to ensure qualified talent is ready to meet customer current and anticipated needs.
- Complete background checks and coach candidates before interviews with customers.
- Support the candidates in starting new assignments.
- Recruit consultants into open positions while assuming management responsibilities for those consultants, building a group of ALTEN employees.
- Help consultants with their professional development, maintain employee satisfaction and increase retention.
- Coach team members through all tasks, follow up and report KPI’s weekly, and take responsibility for the team’s actions and performance.
- Coach Account Managers to meet their goals, take action on performance issues, and guide them.
- Participate in Business Unit strategic planning meetings, define targets and bonuses, represent the company at operational reviews, attend regional ALTEN US meetings, and potentially be appointed as Director of Sales.
- Your work will be supported by ALTEN’s business model and corporate functions that provide the necessary structure and processes for consultant career development.
Minimum Qualifications
- MSc or BSc degree in engineering or business.
- 5–6 years of Business Development, Account Management, and/or Sales experience, including at least 1 year in Sales Leadership.
- Previous documented full life cycle recruiting and/or sales experience with an emphasis on engineering and product development is preferred.
- Experience coaching team members.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of candidates, clients, and employees.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
