Job Description

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Procurement, the incumbent oversees all aspects of Seminole Hard Rock Support Services’ Tribal Vendor Business Program in accordance with Purchasing Department policies, procedures, and Seminole Gaming internal controls. The Director of Tribal Business serves in a lead role for all Tribal Vendor and Tribal Member business transactions, ensuring consistency across all Seminole Gaming properties and Hard Rock International. The Director also supports the development of product and service synergies among the properties and plays an integral role in the research, negotiation, and implementation of new programs, particularly those involving communication, bidding, and coordination with Seminole Tribal Vendors and Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with Seminole Tribal Owned companies.
  • Support tribal vendors through training, capacity‑building, and guidance on procurement requirements as it relates to procurement, contracts, services and RFP’s for Seminole Gaming.
  • Track, analyze, and report tribal vendor participation, spend data, and program performance metrics.
  • Evaluate internal procurement processes to identify opportunities to increase tribal vendor inclusion.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to embed tribal vendors into purchasing and sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Manage databases, documentation, and records related to tribal vendor commodities, meetings and metrics.
  • Resolve issues or barriers affecting the success of tribal vendors within the supply chain.
  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe of Florida / Seminole Gaming’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Interfaces at all levels with Tribal Vendors / Members as well as non‑tribal Vendors.
  • Exercises high level of analysis, problem‑solving, decision‑making and prioritization on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining a calm, objective, and even‑tempered demeanor when working with tribal members, tribal member vendors, and partners is essential for fostering trust, promoting effective communication, and ensuring fair outcomes. By remaining level‑headed, you help create a respectful environment where all parties feel valued and misunderstandings can be resolved constructively.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard‑free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of purchasing buying experience preferred with computer skills or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
  • Must be proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Software.
  • Strong capacity for communicating and collaborating effectively
  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must possess ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
