Executive Director Human Resources, Cell Therapy Development & Operations
Lead the Human Resources discipline for the Cell Therapy Development and Operations (CTDO) businesses. As Executive Director Human Resources, you will provide strategic HR partnership to the CTDO leadership team, driving business performance through focused execution of our People Strategy. The role is a member of both Product Development & Supply Chain (PDS) HR and the CTDO Leadership Teams and is responsible for leading a global team of HR professionals across five sites.
Responsibilities
- Role model BMS Values of Integrity, Innovation, Urgency, Passion, Accountability, and Inclusion.
- Partner with the SVP Cell Therapy Development & Operations and leadership team to drive business performance and foster collaboration and innovation.
- Translate business strategy and organizational needs into contemporary solutions including organizational design, inclusion & diversity, succession & talent management, and culture change.
- Collaborate across the HR operating model (COEs, People Services) to articulate business needs and deliver solutions that add value across the enterprise.
- Champion systems thinking and the application of data and metrics that drive business performance.
- Shape and lead change management efforts to ensure delivery of organizational solutions, programs, and deliverables.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in multinational businesses.
- Preferred prior experience in innovation‑driven companies, having led through the introduction of new technologies or creating new categories.
Degree/Certification/Licensure
- College/University degree; advanced degree preferred.

- Business Partnering: Extensive experience as an HR business partner with significant leadership skills and experience building and leading global diverse teams of HR professionals.
- Change Champion: Broad experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and driving organizational performance.
- Senior Leader and Matrix Navigation: Ability to work effectively at senior management levels to influence decision‑making and build alignment in a global cross‑functional environment.
- Multi‑Cultural Citizenship: Proven ability to work across multiple countries and cultures in a global environment.
- Translating Business Strategy into Credible People Solutions: Strong business and organizational acumen using insights to improve talent and business outcomes.
Compensation Overview
$257,040 - $311,472 (Base salary for a full‑time employee). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available.

Paid Time Off

On‑Site Protocol
BMS determines occupancy structure: Site‑essential, Site‑by‑design, Field‑based, and Remote‑by‑design. The required presence depends on the role’s nature. Site‑essential roles require 100% onsite; Site‑by‑design roles may allow a hybrid model with at least 50% onsite. Field‑based and remote‑by‑design roles must be able to travel as an essential function.
