Liberty Power Innovations (LPI) is a team of energy experts that are focused on building reliable and affordable power generation to support the ever-growing need for electricity generation in North America. LPI is unique in its ability to support merchant grid generation, behind the meter, private microgrid and bridge power solutions for the growing needs of Data Centers, industrial reshoring and fleet electrification.
LPI is seeking a highly motivated lead responsible for monitoring market policy as it pertains to co-located resources and load at state, regional, and federal levels. The Lead should have expertise in monitoring FERC, PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, and other jurisdictions as needed. The ideal candidate would work with other team members to model and predict market changes and their impact to operations, profitability, and existing term positions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in a regulatory agency, ISO, or other stakeholder process driven venue.
- At least 5 years combined experience in advocacy, interconnection management, electric commodity markets, commercial power transactions, or retail energy supply.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, energy policy, economics or related field.
- Master’s degree in policy, economics, finance, energy management, or Law (JD).

Primary Responsibilities:
Regulatory Analytics
- Monitor & Analyze Policies: Track existing and emerging regulations, market rules, and compliance requirements that affect power generation, transmission, and trading.
- Impact Assessment: Evaluate how proposed regulatory changes impact operations, costs, risk exposure, and business opportunities.
- Scenario Modeling: Develop analytical models to forecast outcomes under different policy frameworks.
- Data-Driven Insights: Translate regulatory data into actionable insights for leadership, finance, legal, and operations teams.
Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Regulator Interface: Act as a primary point of contact with regulators, government agencies, industry associations, and grid operators.
- Policy Advocacy: Represent the company’s interests in regulatory proceedings, hearings, and consultations
Execution & Compliance
- Translate new regulations into actionable compliance programs, operational processes, and reporting systems.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with legal, compliance, operations, trading, and finance teams to ensure smooth regulatory execution.
- Training & Communication: Educate internal teams on regulatory requirements and policy shifts.
- Audit & Reporting: Oversee regulatory filings, compliance reports, and responses to regulatory inquiries.

$215,000/YR
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
