Director, Product Management, GenAI Imaging Models

Adobe Inc., San Jose, CA, United States

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Director of Product Management in Research, to own and lead our GenAI Imaging Models roadmap. You are passionate about photography, and keenly aware of creator workflows and the demand for GenAI imaging models. You also have a strong understanding of generative AI technologies and where they are heading. You will work closely with our Research, Applied Science and App teams to develop a bold vision, guide our strategy and execute on a roadmap. You will exercise strong judgment on when to build our own models (Firefly) versus partner with third‑party models, and harness both to power our creators' workflows.

Role Requirements

This role requires an accomplished product management leader, with a proven track record in building generative AI capabilities or products for creatives. Additionally, you are an experienced people manager who leads with empathy, and has a strong compass for hiring, growing and developing talent.

What you'll do:

  • Define a vision while driving roadmap definition and prioritisation.
  • Engage with users to develop a strong point of view on the problems and translate them into clear prioritised opportunities for the business.
  • Identify trends in research and AI that will unlock new capabilities for users and the business.
  • Document detailed requirements, including functional specifications, required analytics and workflows for the engineering team.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate success, using data to identify new opportunities.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and identify where we have opportunities to differentiate.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management.
  • Prior experience in the generative AI space building products.
  • Passion and understanding of creators and their workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functional and organisational boundaries.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
  • Passion for crafting outstanding partner experiences and driving business growth through strategic integrations.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with generative AI.
  • Experience building tools for creatives and designers.
