About the Role

As the Director – Jeep Product, you will lead the team responsible for two of Jeep’s most strategically important nameplates:

  • Grand Cherokee, Jeep’s best-selling full‑size UV in North America
  • Cherokee, newly relaunched to compete in the midsize SUV markets—the largest segment in North America

You will shape their long‑range product vision, guide commercial performance, and inspire a team of Product Managers to deliver vehicles that elevate Jeep’s legacy. The ideal leader brings strategic vision, passion for the Jeep brand, and the discipline to drive detailed execution with urgency. Proven track record of leading people & projects required.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Energetic visionary with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Champion a collaborative, high‑performance culture across Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Represent the Jeep brand and customer voice in all product decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, elevating product discipline and cross‑functional collaboration through execution.
  • Define and execute the end‑to‑end global product and commercial strategy for Grand Cherokee and Cherokee, balancing brand identity, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Create forward‑looking product visions informed by customer insights, analytics, and emerging trends and technologies.

Product Definition & Lifecycle

  • Oversee global product planning, feature contenting, segmentation, positioning, and lifecycle strategy from concept through launch and serial life.
  • Guide the team in managing the full product grid—trims, content, options, complexity, and take‑rate optimization.

Governance & Communication

  • Build and present high‑quality, data‑driven narratives for executive governance forums, defending product strategy, financials, and trade‑offs.
  • Drive alignment across key stakeholders and represent Jeep’s product strategy internally and externally.

Performance Management

  • Establish, track, and drive corrective action for vehicle‑level KPIs (revenue, margin, mix, share, cost, complexity, timing, quality).
  • Ensure urgency, discipline, and accountability to hit program milestones and launch readiness.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in product planning, brand management, product strategy, or related automotive disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing teams in cross‑functional environments.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. SUV market and customer expectations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • High‑level proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to craft well‑structured, data‑informed executive narratives.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and governance‑preparation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Automotive technical expertise and passion for the Jeep brand
  • Familiarity with regulatory and market‑specific vehicle requirements
  • Experience driving organizational adoption of AI for improved efficiency and decision‑making
