Job Responsibilities
- The Chief Strategy Officer will serve as the strategic point of contact and provide strategic development and analysis support for enterprise IT initiatives and portfolio management activities. The role supports organizational mission objectives through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives related to the management of IT business systems.
- The Chief Strategy Officer will establish and monitor a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) system designed to enhance operational effectiveness and organizational performance. This includes developing overall strategic milestones, implementing improvement initiatives, and monitoring the effectiveness of solutions against planned timelines.
- The position will support the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and long-term vision. Responsibilities include tracking project execution, identifying risk areas, and providing strategic planning recommendations to government program managers and program staff members.
- The Chief Strategy Officer will collaborate with program managers, leadership teams, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational execution and strategic objectives, providing guidance that improves program outcomes and decision‑making.
- The role will also support cross‑organizational strategic planning efforts and assist with the integration of strategic initiatives across multiple teams and programs, developing frameworks and tools that enable effective planning, execution, and evaluation.
- The position includes the creation and instruction of a comprehensive strategic planning curriculum designed to build organizational capability in strategy development, implementation, and performance monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Top Secret
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting strategic planning and process improvement initiatives within an IT‑focused organization.
- Experience establishing and executing detailed strategic processes that support the management and improvement of IT programs.
- Experience executing a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program at a corporate or enterprise level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cross‑organizational strategic planning and operational execution.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and long‑term vision.
- Experience in the creation and instruction of comprehensive strategic planning curriculum.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to provide strategic recommendations to leadership and program team.
Location: Washington, DC (NCR) with potential travel to other government sites as required.
