
Head of Marketing

Role Summary
We are hiring a Head of Marketing to build Sohar’s marketing function from the ground up. This is not a traditional marketing leadership role. You will work directly with the CEO to define our go to market strategy, establish Sohar’s market presence, and position the company as a clear leader within its category. You will be responsible for increasing awareness within our target ICP, driving high quality inbound demand, and building structured nurture and account based strategies that convert target accounts into pipeline. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will move from defining positioning and ICP to launching campaigns, shaping content, driving conference strategy, and building ecosystem relationships. This is a 0 to 1 role with full ownership of marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Define go to market strategy and positioning: Partner closely with the CEO to shape Sohar’s positioning and go to market strategy. Establish clear ICP definition, messaging, and prioritization. Increase Sohar’s visibility across high leverage channels including conferences, partnerships, and industry ecosystems. Ensure consistent exposure to target buyers.
- Drive inbound pipeline: Build and scale inbound demand from target ICP segments. Focus on improving quality of leads and conversion into pipeline.
- Increase awareness within target ICP: Ensure Sohar is consistently recognized within its target market and included early in buying processes.
- Build nurture and account based campaigns: Design and execute structured nurture and account based marketing strategies targeting high value accounts. Track engagement and conversion into MQL and pipeline.
- Own conferences and events strategy: Identify and execute high impact conference and event opportunities with clear ROI in terms of pipeline and relationships.
- Develop content and thought leadership: Create content that positions Sohar as a credible voice in behavioral health, revenue cycle, and healthcare infrastructure.
- Collaborate cross functionally: Work closely with sales, product, and leadership to ensure alignment on ICP, messaging, and pipeline quality.
Qualifications
- 7 to 12 years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong product marketing foundation
- Experience within healthcare RCM, healthcare infrastructure, or API first SaaS preferred
- Strong strategic thinking around go to market and market positioning
- Deep understanding of enterprise buying behavior
- Experience operating in a 0 to 1 or early stage marketing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build inbound and demand generation from scratch
- Experience with account based marketing or structured nurture campaigns is a strong plus
- Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership teams
- Ability to operate hands on across both strategy and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Base pay range: $150,000 – $200,000 per year.
