The Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for managing the day-to-day marketing and general management duties across Mexican brands, as well as the development and execution of short and long‑term strategies designed to deliver the business unit’s objectives.

This role will work with internal and external partners to develop and execute key tactics such as pricing, trade, creating opportunities for new distribution channels, new product development, packaging changes, and consumer and shopper marketing initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders in the Sales Operations (and field sales) department.

The Director will have a team of direct reports including senior brand managers, brand managers, ABMs, and in‑direct cross‑functional support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver corporate sales, profit margin, and EBITDA goals across a portfolio of directly managed brands.
  • Manage business analytics, forecasting, and planning.
  • Develop long‑term growth strategies, including maintaining a 3‑year innovation pipeline and SKU rationalization.
  • Ideate, research, commercialise & launch innovation.
  • SKU rationalization.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams for various brand initiatives, including new product launches, packaging changes, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Lead consumer marketing activations – creative/comm. strategies, omni channel, social, media planning.
  • Efficiently manage all marketing and advertising budgets to achieve brand objectives.
  • P&L ownership, including cost‑improvement initiatives, pricing, and linkage with the Trade Marketing team.
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans and 3‑5 year strategic plans.
  • Lead & execute monthly reporting / business unit reviews with President & ELT.
  • Key partner in S&OP.

Experience, Skills, Education

  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in consumer products, preferably in food.
  • Extensive experience with the development and design of packaging, advertising, and other materials.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry and retail landscape.
  • Leadership, learning agility, problem‑solving, project management, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret Nielsen/IRI data to make sound business recommendations to Management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced, resource‑limited environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong sales knowledge: understanding and supporting the “selling” process.
  • Excellent creative skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: self‑starter, results‑oriented.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $156,482.00 – $260,803.00.

Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Total pay may include other forms of compensation including short‑term incentive bonus.
