
Director of Ticket Sales

The Director of Ticket Sales leads all revenue-generating ticketing efforts for our sports client. This leader is the inspiration to the sales team, drives new business, handles operations, manages the full sales pipeline, and has the operator and collaborator mindset to hit revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish clear expectations, daily activity standards, and team performance metrics.
- Deliver ongoing training and development programs to elevate selling skills.
- Own annual ticket revenue goals and champion team targets and activity benchmarks.
- Create and execute targeted sales campaigns, outreach strategies, scripts, and events.
- Build relationships with new clientele while expanding and renewing existing accounts.
- Hands‑on with the sales staff through the entire sales cycle—including prospect identification, qualification, appointments, presentations, and deal close.
- Develop consistent follow‑up, service, and retention practices across the department.
- Gather customer insights and translate feedback into operational improvements.
- Prepare reports used for forecasting, business reviews, and strategic planning.
- Deliver ongoing training and development programs to elevate selling skills.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years in professional or collegiate sports (ideally ticket sales).
- Minimum 2 years managing, motivating, and developing a sales team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficient with CRM systems.
- A former athlete or passion for sports is nice to have.
