
Director, CAD Sales - Americas

PTC is seeking an ambitious Regional Director of CAD Sales for the Americas to lead sales of our industry‑leading Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software and continue our track record of double‑digit growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Americas CAD sales strategy aligned with company goals to drive double‑digit revenue growth and market expansion.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a world‑class sales team of CAD professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to achieve individual and team targets.
- Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and optimize sales territories for optimal coverage.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Drive new ACV growth and pipeline creation, managing all KPIs (e.g., New ACV, new bookings by driver, churn) in accordance with RD MOR.
- Enable the sales team with Field Academy training, master customer conversation skills, and other techniques to build product knowledge, sales techniques, and overall effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with regional sales leadership, inside sales, marketing, product management, and customer support teams to drive effective go‑to‑market strategies and ensure customer success.
- Manage and allocate regional sales budgets effectively to maximize ROI and achieve desired outcomes.
- Conduct weekly forecast reviews to track and drive maturation of existing opportunities and encourage additional opportunities.
Skills and Knowledge
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Understanding of the CAD industry core solutions, main competitors, and disruptive/emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive data‑based decision‑making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts and cultivate successful customer relationships.
- Proficiency in using SFDC CRM, Qlik analytics tools, Clari Forecast Management software, and other sales‑related tools.
- Outstanding organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Creative, collaborative mindset with the capability to work effectively across various territories and regions in North America.
Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD sales.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding annual sales targets and objectives.
- Demonstrated success in managing a high‑performing sales team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to travel within the United States as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary range: $250,000 – $275,000, encompassing base salary and on‑target incentive compensation. Eligible employees may participate in the employee share purchase program (ESPP) and have opportunities for additional equity programs. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, and a commuter subsidy for office‑assigned employees, subject to plan eligibility and other terms and conditions.
